Our 1st Vaca of the year!!!

(0: St. George :0)
Thanks to our good friends the Jensen's we were able to spend our very first vacation of the year in sunny St. George. The weather was perfect none of us wore jackets it was T shirts and jeans. (It could have been T shits and capri's/short and sandals if we had brought any). Anyway we stayed in this huge house that belongs to Savannah's parents. A big THANKS to them. Us and the Jensen's went to Snow Canyon and hiked Johnson's Trail. It was a great 2 mile (round trip) beautiful hike as you can see in the pics. Bri and I backpacked the girls in and then carried them out on our fronts (which you'll be able to see in the pics too). Well without further ado I will show you the pics!!!

So the pics are in backwards order sorry not a professional blogger as y'all can tell ;)

Lets go RIDIN'

Jan 30th was the girls very first outdoor 4 wheeling adventure!!! As you can see they are already pros. They LOVE their 4 wheeler and they had a BLAST being able to go where ever they wanted.

Within the limits that the backyard offered to them that is! :0)

Ok, so I found out that my post for the girls birthday was all messed up so I fixed it!! I am sorry for that on my computer it looked perfectly normal, but then we had friends over Friday and they told me of the blog dilemma. Hope those who experienced it will forgive me and still visit and enjoy our few blog updates. :)

The BIG 1st Birthday

I know this is a late blog considering the girls birthday was 12/31/2009. But better late then never right?!!

So for the girls we made a whole day event starting with sledding. This was the girls very first sledding adventure!!! It was great fun for all. Thanks to Uncle Neil and Aunt Sarah for the use of their perfect little girl sledding hill!!

Then the girls opened A LOT of presents, but these sippy cups where the hit!!! I know this pic looks funny but they are in a huge love sack.

And as you can see they fully ENJOYED their very own cakes.
Yes, I their mother made their cakes in case anyone was wondering.

How did this happen?

Tina bought me a sweet laser sight for my keltec, but some how the entire gun ended up on her ankle??! She has been wanting an ankle holster for a while, so I went and got one this morning. Our other pistol is too large to be an ankle gun, so she gets the smaller one. Now I am back to carrying on my waist instead of my pocket :(

Christmas Time!

What a wonderful Christmas we had this year! We had a great time as a family. The girls got thier first 4 wheeler, and already love it..

..It might take a little more practice, but they'll be jumping it come spring..

Tina got some new pots and pans, and some makeup. I got a laser sight for my keltec, and a pair of insulated Carhartt bibs.

Family sick day

We took the jeep out today for a little time away from life. We went to the rattle snake trail out at 5-mile pass. This is the fist time we have had the jeep on this trail. I was excited to see how well it would do. About 5 minutes into the trail, at the first major obstacles we found ourselves behind a group of 4 jeeps, 3 of which were stock, with new drivers (2 being chicks). The head of the group told us they were going to be slow at that we should pass. It took them about 20 min to teach the girl in one jeep how to back up out of our way!! Finally we get passed. Tina says she is starting to feel sick about this same time, and thinks it may be from sitting with the exhaust of 5 jeeps all around us.
About 40 min after we started the trail I noticed that Ally had lost her interest in the trip. I figured she was getting tired, then she spit up a LOT! It makes sense that she would spit up, we were bouncing all over the place. Then she did it again, and again a few minutes later- but this time it was more like actual throw up. I decided we would call it quits and head back. Within moments Ally had turned really pale and began to fall asleep. Wham! Then it hit me!! She was being poisoned by carbon monoxide!- the exhuast on the jeep comes out under the middle of the jeep, so it easily makes it's way into the cab. We have never noticed before because the windows have always been down, but not today in the snow..
Tina and I grabbed the girls and walked the majority of the way down the mountain. With in a minute or two of being out of the jeep Ally was happy and laughing again.
I am very grateful we realized the problem instead of letting her sleep on the way down the mountain. I am not sure if she would have woke up at the bottom.
